(Fast Connection | Slow

| The Silver Pearl: Our
Generation’s Search for Meaning is a remarkable
keynote, workshop and retreat that has been receiving
rave reviews from participants. Led by Dr. Carol Orsborn,
author of 15 books on the relationship between values,
spirit and success, The Silver Pearl: Our Generation’s
Search for Meaning delivers a message to women that
is simple but transformational: unlike physical development,
the older you become, the more possible it is for you
to achieve your fullest spiritual and psychological
potential. This material has application to all aspects
of the participants’ lives, from personal to work
issues—and everything in between. Based on her
most recent book, authored with co-researcher Dr. Jimmy
Laura Smull, the interactive program shares and recreates
the process of personal development exemplified by the
women in their groundbreaking study: women in their
late forties, fifties, sixties and beyond who are defying
stereotypes about their age to achieve life mastery
in one or more areas of their lives, regardless of the
circumstance with which they are faced.
Dr. Orsborn has presented her keynotes, workshop and
retreats around the country, at such venues as Omega
Institute, The Associated Press Managing Editor’s
Convention, Apple Computers, Davis-Kidd Bookstores,
Penuel Ridge Retreat Center, UCLA’s Center for
the Study of Religion and hundreds more. She is now
booking engagements for summer and fall of 2005 and
all of 2006. She has appeared on Oprah, The
Today Show and appeared in the pages of People
Magazine and The New York Times, among
others. I will be contacting you soon to see if we can
find a time for Dr. Orsborn on your organization’s
calendar.
Dr. Smull has given keynotes at such venues as UCLA's Center for Religion, Chapman University, the Golden Door, Book Clubs and Penuel Ridge Retreat Center. She is also a co-facilitator with Dr. Orsborn.
The Silver Pearl is both an inspirational and rejuvenating
one to eight hours for women seeking to tap into the
communal wisdom of a new generation of women who are
redefining what it means to be our age.
Participants have the opportunity to identify and address
both mutual and individual issues, concerns and opportunities.
Typical of the issues that arise for participants are:
revising and renewing ambitions and expectations, clarifying
one's philosophy and strategy regarding beauty and health,
parenting grown children, caretaking others in need
and more. Based on the three-stage Silver Pearl model,
participants will utilize experiential tools and techniques,
including guided journaling and visualization, Socratic
inquiry and both shared and personal reflection. By
attending this program, participants will define a refreshing
new perspective drawn from their own experience as well
as from the wisdom of other women who are demonstrating
daily their capacity to master the next passage on their
journey through life. |
